How to Sterilize
Microwave: Add 6–180 collars in a loosely closed turkey bag, pour in 1 cup of water, and microwave at 1000W for 15 min. Do not let the bag touch the sides or top of the microwave.
Dry Heat: 300°F (150°C) for 1–2 hours. Do not exceed 300°F. Keep collars away from direct contact with the heating element.
Chemical Dunk: Submerge in 5 mL/gal bleach or HOCl solution for 8–12 hours. Dunk rinse and store.
Pressure Cooker / Autoclave: 15 psi for 30 min. Start timer at full pressure. Allow natural cool-down -- do not rapidly depressurize.

No. The polymer surface resists root penetration.
